When we walk in the forest of Panchgani-Mahabaleshwar Plateau, we see the Giant Malabar Squirrel. It is a huge reddish brown (just like the colour of a fox) squirrel that jumps from tree to tree. It is the state animal of Maharashtra. I am always very excited when I spot it.
